LIFE MOTIVATIONAL NUGGETS

LIFE MOTIVATIONAL NUGGETS SERIES 5

Don’t let people’s opinions determine who you are. It is not what people think, but who you think you are that matters. Most of the time, we allow how people identify us to shape who we are.

Life is a personal thing. You must decide and determine who you want to be and propagate that. People always have standards of expectations that they set for others. But knowing that each of us has a different path to tread should help you realise that the onus of who you are, and who you want others to see you as, depends solely on you.

Unfortunately, a lot of us have allowed the expectations of others to shape our lives and, in so doing, hamper our realisation of who we actually are and the optimisation of our God-given talents. In expressing who you are and how you want people to see you, it must be within the accepted standard of societal behaviour, not antisocial inclinations.

In holding yourself accountable in expressing who you are, you become a better version of yourself. It is in realising who you are without allowing people to determine who you are, that you can express your inherent talents and achieve enviable heights to the benefit of mankind and society.

There must be no vacillation about who you are. Who you are becomes your identity, against which people will hold you accountable. In propagating who you are, it is important that people trust who you are and can take it to the bank. That the8y can vouch for you always, if not all the time, most of the time.

By determining and defining who you are and how you want others to see you, you are only expressing your individuality and uniqueness as a person, in the way God created you. The variations in humanity, the distinctness of each person, are what make the whole beautiful.

Therefore, don’t ever feel shy or short in expressing who you want people to see you as.

When we use second chances well, we grow, regain confidence, and restore peace within ourselves and with others.
