LIFE MOTIVATIONAL NUGGETS
LIFE MOTIVATIONAL NUGGETS SERIES 4
We are used to the remarks about a second chance. What really does it mean? Mostly, this term is used to address mistakes or unacceptable behaviour. There are expectations in life that we are believed to be capable of attaining. However, at each point, it never works out as planned or expected.
At this point, the issue of a second chance emerges. A second chance is the opportunity we are given or appropriate by ourselves to amend or try again to get it right. It therefore means that our supposed dead end is not the end of the road on that particular matter.
Second chances come in various forms and in different degrees, depending on the specific issues at hand. Some second chances may require rigorous effort to amend, while in some cases, it is just minimal effort that is required to achieve the turnaround.
Second chances may occur or become necessary in our relationships as human beings or internally, that is, with ourselves. Because we are human beings with frailties, our capacity to attain goals in our quest or behaviours is limited and hindered by our makeup.
When conditions for second chances arise, it is expedient for us to utilise them well to atone for the mistakes of the past in the particular matter. Our success in utilising them elevates our value a notch higher in the eyes of others and in our own eyes. We feel elated, fulfilled, and good in ourselves. It gives us a special kind of joy that is indescribable. We feel at peace with ourselves and our fellow human beings.
The moral lesson is that our supposed dead ends are not exactly the end of the road in all matters. There is always a second chance. What really matters is what we make of the second chances. If we amend properly, we are cherished and praised. But if we misuse them, our value is lowered in the sight of others, and we feel dejected in ourselves.
So we mustn't take things for granted when second-chance situations arise. We must make the best use of them and amend the situations. It is always possible if we are serious to amend and put in a minimum effort to do so.
Not everything comes with the second time, and I believed God didn't create second time it all depends on each of everyone mode of life
