LIFE MOTIVATIONAL NUGGETS
LIFE MOTIVATIONAL NUGGETS SERIES 3
In life, certain principles will help you focus and achieve your goals. One of them is ’Whatever you do to man, let it be done because of God.’’
Whatever you do to human beings, let it be done because of God. Man may never show gratitude. But if you did it because of God, you won’t be bothered. This principle is essential to our charitable lives. Man was never created to be selfish. But he was made to live in a community.
Definitely, in a community, people are dependent on one another. Within this dependence, the value of each individual's contributions may differ. In this dependence, we rely on one another to navigate the vagaries of life. It is in this dependence that charity emanates and is expressed.
Charity is an act that stems from love for one another. However, when it is done, not every beneficiary who shows gratitude. Gratitude, as a form of appreciation, also stems from a heart that can love charity. Therefore, you risk disappointment if you extend charity solely to receive gratitude. However, if you perform your act of charity in recognition of God, you won't worry about whether gratitude is expressed or not. God entrusts us with everything we own.
So, we should donate from what we own to bless God's creation. Once you are dead, all you own, both in material and non-material form, becomes useless to you. This perspective encourages a deeper understanding of our responsibilities towards others and the world around us. By viewing our possessions as tools for goodwill, we cultivate a spirit of generosity that transcends earthly attachments.
Truly, everything we do in life must be done because of God. In as much that God didn't asked for anything in return for his blessings and protections over us why not extend same goodwill to our fellow human beings
